Not all of us have hours, or even days, to spend decorating every room of our home between the shopping and cooking the big meal that go along with the Holidays. But we don’t want to be a scrooge and not decorate at all! Things as small as hanging ornaments from a staircase can add holiday spirit. Here are 5 of our favorite ideas to deck your halls with holiday decor that will take no time at all – some less than 5 minutes!
Add a charming glow to your home with stringing lights inside your main main doorway. There are a variety of options from light-up stars, snowflakes, or bulb string lights. This is subtle enough to even keep up after the holiday.

Have open shelving stand in for a mantel, as the Emily Henderson Design team did here, if you don’t have a fireplace to hang your stockings. Arrange miniature trees, string lights, or snow globes to add some decorative flare.

Not decorating with a tree this year? You can still show off your most eye-catching ornaments by hanging them from beautiful ribbons throughout your home, including the staircase.

Hang your surname’s initial in the center of a wreath. Add some glitter and a bow and you’re good to go!

Don’t forget your empty bookshelves and window ledges! These are great places to add holiday flare. Consider pine boughs in a large vase or filling jars with winterberries, nuts, or red peppercorns along with a tealight nestled on top.
